About the artist

Eduardo Landa, born in Mexico City in 1979, studied Architecture at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and later attended the School of Architecture at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, USA.

Landa’s artistic practice is centered on the exploration of the human form. Through painting, he seeks to capture the character and essence of his subjects, while at times creating fictional narratives developed independently or in collaboration with them. His work reflects the influence of architecture, photography, his cultural background, and personal experiences, all of which contribute to his distinctive visual language.

Rather than providing literal explanations or descriptive titles, Landa encourages viewers to engage with his work on their own terms. He believes that personal interpretation and emotional response are essential to the viewing experience. His approach prioritizes the artwork itself over external narratives, inviting audiences to focus on the substance of the work rather than the persona behind it.

Committed to authenticity in creative practice, Landa remains dedicated to producing work that is guided by artistic integrity rather than convention or visibility.
