About the artist

Krister Flodin (b. 1968) is a Stockholm-based painter. Following three decades as a commercial illustrator for clients including Adobe, MTV, the Financial Times, and Deutsche Bank, Flodin completely dismantled his digital workflow to focus solely on fine art. His current practice centers on the deliberate reduction of noise.
Taking everyday visual media, commercial imagery, and archived photographs, Flodin aggressively crops and isolates subjects onto large-scale canvases. By stripping away narrative clutter, he transforms transient images into quiet, structural studies of form, space, and psychological silence.
