About the artist

Ernesto Romano in an Italian artist living and working in London. With a degree in architecture and a background in interior design, Ernesto is always on the look for interesting combinations of colors and materials for his work.

He often uses his own X-Rays which he transforms with bold colors and addition of Swarovski crystals, glitter and platinum and gold leaf. The message behind these colorful X-Ray works is always of inclusion and diversity. He is well known for depicting an X-Rayed Queen that has become one of his trademarks and been collected worldwide.

He has been recently commissioned a large crown artwork by the Bankside hotel to celebrate King Charles III upcoming coronation. Ernesto has recently completed a 3 months artist residency in Shanghai at the Swatch Art Peace Hotel where he explored a new medium for his works: infrared photography.

His work has been published in the Evening Standard, The Independent and in London Underground. Ernesto’s work is included in private collections across the globe.
