Descriptions:
Prickly Pear Garden captures a moment where nature and perception gently collide. This archival pigment print on matte fine art paper presents a layered landscape filtered through texture and pattern, as if seen through memory rather than direct sight. Vivid reds and greens emerge from a field of soft geometry, suggesting prickly pear fruit glowing against a sunlit garden.
The interplay of organic forms and digital structure creates a sense of movement and rhythm, inviting the eye to wander and pause. Printed in limited editions and offered in two square sizes, this work balances clarity and abstraction, making it a thoughtful addition for collectors drawn to contemporary photography that feels both grounded and poetic.

About the artist

Photography is not my principal aim but it is my primary tool.
I collect color, texture and design in my viewfinder from subjects that are often ordinary. Mental labels associated with the objects are discarded to form a digital painting that becomes its own subject. As Monet said, “To see we must forget the name of the thing we are looking at.”
I hope to uncover what is beautiful, intriguing, contemplative and singular behind the mundane. Because true art springs always from its history, I never lose sight of the masters who sought to forge new frames of reference.
