About The Artwork
expand_more
This striking contemporary portrait captures the face of a young woman emerging from a vibrant, classic blue canvas. The composition features a bold, modern crop: the head is partially cut in half, creating an intriguing and asymmetrical focal point. The portrait is brought to life using an innovative contemporary collage-embroidery technique. Layers of transparent and non-transparent fabrics are meticulously superimposed, creating a rich, multi-dimensional texture that plays with light and shadow. The face is defined by vivid, bright colors, with dominant and luminous pink tones. All these diverse materials are seamlessly bound together by bold, visible stitches of colored thread, which serve as both a structural element and a powerful graphic statement.
