About The Artwork

Echoes Over Water by Cher Deaville is an original acrylic on canvas measuring 39.37 x 47.24 inches. This evocative work unfolds like a memory of a landscape seen through shifting mist and reflected light. Soft gradients of violet, amber, and earthy greens drift into one another, creating a sense of calm that feels both familiar and distant. Gentle tonal transitions suggest water meeting sky, with blurred silhouettes hinting at forms just beyond reach.
The surface carries a quiet rhythm, as if the land and its reflection are in conversation. Collectors will appreciate its contemplative presence, offering a grounded yet ethereal atmosphere that invites long, thoughtful viewing.

About the artist

I am Cher - mum to two young children, wife and Artist all in equal measures!
My journey began with a new home, an empty loft space and a desire to do what brings me joy and serenity amidst a hectic life as a mum. The secret room hidden away on the third floor fast became my playground to explore my creativity and reignite my passion for art.
Away from the never-ending distractions of family life, this allowed me the time and space to escape reality and reconnect with myself.
My work is now exhibited and held in private collections across the UK.
What inspires me?
“Expressionism refers to art in which the image of reality is distorted in order to make it expressive of the artists inner feelings or ideas” Kandinsky.
I see my work as a visual diary and I often look to nature for my inspiration. When responding to these places or experiences I deconstruct the familiar and capture the essence of flowers and landscapes through their forms, colors and lines.
