Descriptions:
Bass Rock – River Forth presents a striking study in contrast, atmosphere, and stillness. Captured as a chromogenic fine art print, this limited edition work places the iconic rock formation in sharp relief against a darkened sky and quiet sea.
The monochrome palette enhances the sense of solitude while the lighthouse at the edge of the island introduces a subtle point of human presence.
The composition invites contemplation as light grazes the textured surface of the rock, creating a powerful balance between strength and serenity. At 27 by 14 inches, this piece offers collectors a refined and timeless view of nature shaped by patience, precision, and a deep respect for place.

‘Bass Rock - River Forth’
Selected image for the Scottish Landscape Awards Exhibition 2023
This Chromogenic Fine Art Black and White Print entitled - ‘Bass Rock - River Forth’ - is from Lindsay's resent Scottish portfolio of seascape images. The image is an original photograph.
The Bass Rock is a world renowned bird sanctuary, which is home to the world’s largest colony of 150,000 Northern Gannets. The rock with it’s bird population is described famously by naturalists as "one of the wildlife wonders of the world”.
The image was captured with the last vestiges of a summer sunset hitting the rock, thereby rendering the rock as white from the reflections of the thousands of nesting birds.
This sublime 'Chromogenic Fine Art Print' is hand crafted to the highest possible standards, creating not only a work of art but also an object of desire.
The image size is 25” x 12” printed onto 27”x14” paper, the signature is placed bottom right within the white border.
Included is a certificate of authenticity.
