ABOUT THE ARTIST

A little over three years ago, I started drawing. I was at a crossroads professionally and didn’t know what I was going to do, so I prayed to God for direction and within the next few days, I found a pencil in my hand.

I still like to add something unique to the portrait or scene I’m drawing. Something that is not quite supposed to be there in hopes that the viewer can take a moment to be present, and in that moment feel a connection to something greater.

In almost all of my portrait work, I capture the sitter up close. I think it comes from an acting background. When the lens is up close you can see the truth, and that is something that
I’m always searching for in my work.
